On Guard success for Team Sloan!

August 31, 2004
Cody and Troy Sloan have been showing livestock for several years at the county, state and national level. There are a lot of young men who show because their parents think they should or because someone has told them they can make a little money. The two most important members of Team Sloan aren’t showing for money and they sure don’t have to be told to show. They are showing to win and they have certainly done plenty of that in their young showing careers.
Over the years, both Troy and Cody have shown hogs and sheep with great success at the Missouri State Fair. Cody has always favored the sheep arena where he has received Reserved Grand Champion on more than one occasion. The “top spot” had eluded Cody until the 2004 Missouri State Fair when Cody showed his market lamb to Grand Champion Overall honors. With over 600 lambs competing, finally reaching the top was rewarding after years of hard work.
Unlike a few unlucky showmen, Cody was able to bring all his lambs to the fair without the concern of fungus often referred to as the plague in show lamb circles. There are exhibitors every year who don’t get to show their lambs as a result of fungus that isn’t easily treated. Fortunately for Team Sloan, they used On Guard in their sheep barn all summer. While they never had any fungus to treat directly, they did keep On Guard in the bedding and in the barn all summer. The result: No sign of fungus on any sheep all summer for the first time in 10 years! Now that's results!
H2AG would like to thank Cody and Team Sloan for their commitment in using On Guard. You are a great example for other young showman to follow and we salute your accomplishments.
